The commission was awarded following a rigorous preselection process and required adapting and extending an existing recreation building within the Pacific Bay Resort complex  to provide a sophisticated teaching and research facility.

VBA worked on the project in a harmonious association with the design architects James Cubitt Architects. VBA had a close involvement with developing innovative structural solutions to overcome the shortcomings of the existing structure and resolving complex BCA issues, and acted as Superintendents Representative for the duration of the construction period.
