Advantage was taken of Council’s Medium-High Density zoning to deliver 10 apartments with northeast aspect oriented towards the coastal views.

The difficult sloping site necessitated close consultation and negotiation with Council during the design development process to successfully resolve contentious issues of height and density within the established residential neighbourhood.

The design of the apartments makes a positive contribution to Council’s aspirations for a greater more sustainable density in this locality, as well as addressing the more pragmatic requirements of passive solar design, orientation, cross ventilation and rainwater harvesting.
