Vil Brickman Architects Pty Ltd is based in Coffs Harbour and offers the combined experience of over 30 years of architectural practice on the NSW North Coast.

Vilny Brickman established the current practice in 1992, and since that time the firm has completed several significant projects for Coffs Harbour City Council as well as the contract documentation of a number of schools and institutional buildings. VBA has established links with several key authorities and Vilny Brickman has a reputation for effective, responsive and continuous personal involvement throughout all project phases.

Vilny graduated with honours in 1976 from the University of New South Wales. He joined the respected Sydney firm Philip Cox and Partners in 1976 where he gained experience on a wide variety of civic, institutional and domestic scale projects. In 1981 he transferred to Grafton to become Manager of the associated architectural and planning practice of McDonald Cox Corkill Pty Ltd. In 1984 he became a Director of McDonald Brickman Corkill Pty Ltd, a firm specialising in planning, civic and institutional architecture and environmental studies and analyses. He established the firm’s Coffs Harbour branch in 1989.

In 1992, following the retirement of fellow Director, John McDonald, he established Vil Brickman Architects, enabling him to continue to utilise his accumulated experience on a variety of commercial and government projects as well as housing and aged care facilities.
